Merry Christmas and Happy 2008
Hello and thanks so much to everyone who has been there for me this year.
I started this year's blog with a very positive post, thinking that if I took six weeks or so off running, and with the help of the lovely people at QSMC, all would be well. Unfortunately, it seems that I had a few more medical problems than I thought and it didn't quite work out that way. So here I am nearly 12 months later and the longest I've run so far this year is ....16 minutes.
I'm not sure what will happen now. My chances of being able to run again are not looking particularly good, so that's something I will have to give some serious thought to in the new year.
Anyway, in the meantime, the reason for my early Christmas post is that I will be leaving in two weeks to go to Antarctica. Penguins permitting I'll be back a couple of days before Christmas, so I hope that I can catch up with everyone's news before the big day. If not, I'll be thinking of you all.

I am so excited for you going to Antarctica - I can think of no one who deserves an adventure like that more than you. You will have a spectacular time and I predict that you will discover mystical restorative powers of penguins and heal completely and not only start running but write a book about your experiences and make gazillions :)
Much love

Antarctica - now that's cool !! Have a great time and look forward to hearing from you in 2008.

I think we ought to try to do a girly get-together (even if its just coffee!) before you leave.
That's sad about the running.
Have fun. Don't worry about the Antarctic cruise ship that sank. It was the ice berg's fault ;)
See you about the traps in 2008.
Cirque, have a wonderful trip down south!
I hope Xmas is a very happy one for you & your family.
Catch you again...some day! Maybe Gold Coast Half 2008.
