Would you like the good news or the bad news?

Why does this seem to be a recurring theme in my blog?

For the last few weeks I've been on an emotional roller coaster, to say the least.

First the bad news. The move to our new home went really well, but three days after moving in some ***** *****s broke in and decided to avail themselves of our most treasured posessions. They smashed the glass door into the cirquelets' living room, stole all my jewellery and a lot of our personal things that are impossible to replace.

The good but poignant news is that Jordan finished year 12 last week and has now gone off to schoolies week at the Gold Coast. He doesn't read this, so it's safe to say here how proud of him I am (don't you dare dob, Owen). There have been lots of emotional celebrations over the last few weeks (which would have been even better if the **** ****s hadn't stolen my digital camera) and it seems strange whenever I remember that my school parenting days are now officially over.

And the good running news (which is supposed to be the point of this blog) is that we now seem to have settled in properly and I've started my morning runs along the river. I've also finally started taking all those instructions I've been given over the last few years seriously and I'm cross-training properly for the first time. I'm cycling (whether I like it or not) and I've started resistance training with a personal trainer who (thanks to our good friend 2P) shall be known hereafter as Sven, although his real name is actually much more prosaic.

So, hopefully I'll have some nice, calm regular running blogs to share over the next few weeks.

It all sounds like good good news to me CCirque - well for the future that is...

Mate your perserverence never fails to inspire me.

I can't wait to hear more of your assignations with Sven - a picture perhaps?

I'm so pleased to hear you are on the road and running. Sounds like your new location is perfect for it. You are probably covering some of the same ground I used to run on when I lived in that part of town.

So, his name isn't really Sven, but does he look like a Sven?

PS Ooooh, what lowlife ba***ards - grrrr.

Bastards.....That is terrible.

But I am glad to hear you are enjoying the new home.

Our daughter is also on the coast for Schoolies. Though hopefully she will be coming home for a breather tonight before heading down there again for the weekend. I think I am more stressed about that than her whole year at school!!!

That's sensatonal news about your running and I've got a smile on my face just thinking about you down by the river doing it. The bad news is certainly that and I really feel for you.

I hope the culprits are caught in time and that you might get some of the treasures returned.

I loved what 2P said about your perserverance, which I think speaks for all of us. (He's got oodles of that substance himself)

Sorry to hear about the ***** *****s.

Sven sounds good, but I'd prefer Stella.

Good news about the morning runs... Go Cirque!

Loved the good news! Pity about the bad stuff - that sucks. Glad you're moving on :-)
