And back to things running related at last
As promised, I had a 'nice, calm running blog' to share a few days ago but it disappeared when I tried to publish it. It was a long one too :(
In a nutshell, it said that I've been doing a few short run/walks each week and lots of mini cross training sessions, including cycling, swimming, yoga, pilates and some serious weight training (aka 'death by Sven').
I came across the most amazing runner this morning. I have no idea who he is, but he will hereafter be known as Incredible Bulimba Running Man. I crossed paths with him four or five times and for every 200m I covered he must have run at least 2k. By the time I'd run along the narrow side of Memorial Park, he'd run the length of it, gone around a couple of blocks, run the length again and still came out ahead of me. The last thing I saw was his (rather scenic) butt disappearing rapidly into the distance. Must go - I have a date with Sven at 6 am tomorrow.

I'm sorry - son #3 is now resident at the Gold Coast sans any chocolate cupcakes! They were finished well and truly before he left Canberra!
Bulimba Running Man with the scenic butt....dates with Sven...all these men in your life!
A scenic butt?? I've heard lots of choice words for describing one's posterior but 'scenic' is a new one. Seriously, it's wonderful to see you out running and to see you are getting into the cross training too. Good lesson for all of us there.
Must chat to Clairie about doing our next long run at Bulimba ;-)
I want photos! Take a camera on your run next time ;-)
woo hoo! running, perving, svenning ... and all in one post!
Good to see you running and blogging again Cirque - Sven and scenic butt hunting - you need a cold shower girls ;-)
yay for the move - sorry to hear about the break in! *hugs*
You need to practise your sprinting so you can catch Bulimba Running Man next time and find out who he is!
You'd have no trouble catching me, Cirque! Well done for achieving so much this year against all the odds. Have a well-deserved happy Christmas!
