If you can’t say something good….
…. say nothing at all.
Or so I’ve been told, which is why I haven’t blogged for nearly a month. Since my last entry I have no exercise to report except for a 3k walk on Saturday that took 35 minutes – a definite and very sad PW.
I’ve been really sick for the last few weeks, and haven’t blogged, mainly because I haven’t been able to use my arms, wrists or fingers (or neck or back or legs or feet). It’s been a real struggle to get through the day when I’ve been working, and on the few days I’ve had off I’ve had to have ‘little’ nana naps of three to four hours a day. I’ve been sore, sick, exhausted, woolly-headed and seriously doubting whether I’ll ever be able to walk from the door to the gate, let alone ever run for more than a few steps at a time.
After more tests than you could poke a syringe at, the diagnosis and prognosis are still uncertain, although it looks like my arthritis may have taken a turn in the wrong direction, possibly triggered by an unknown virus. To make matters worse, I’m now covered in hundreds of spots that may be part of the problem, but could equally be a reaction to the medication that we optimistically thought would be the solution. More blood tests tomorrow, but I’m quarantined until I get the results.
My apologies to all my blogging friends, especially those approaching big races (esp. Canberra and Port Mac), those recovering from injury, and the newbies whose blogs I really love reading. I've been following all your blogs, honestly, I just haven’t been able to reply.
As always, I'll be thinking of you all this weekend and wishing you all the best, especially those of you attempting new challenges.
