Could I be any clumsier?

Tuesday
run/walk 40 minutes

Thursday
run/walk 45 minutes

Not satisfied with falling off my bike on Sunday, I decided to have another go at hitting the concrete this morning.

My knees have been really sore (d'uh!). The badly grazed one has become infected and the other one is extra swollen in the spot where the inflammation was before I fell. Apart from that, I was really enjoying my run this morning. It was 5 a.m. on an absolutely glorious morning, and I was really happy to be running, until I went to step back onto the path from the grass and went A over T about 20 metres from the spot where I came off my bike the other day. I tried to avoid landing on my worst knee but didn't quite make it, so now it's a total mess. I've started taking antibiotics though, so hopefully if I stop using my local bike path as a knee grater it should heal soon.

In other news, my bike has just been repaired (it has 2 brakes now) and I picked it up this afternoon so if I can bend my leg in the morning I'll go for a ride. I'm a bit worried because the seat has been raised and I was having enough trouble before when at least my feet could touch the ground in an emergency. I have a really bad feeling about this.......

Oh no, your poor thing. Then again, its kinda better to fall over now and get all the injuries over and done with in one hit.

That's scary about the bike seat. Maybe if you wore platform shoes :-)

I am getting in the habit of snuggling into a comfy chair and grabbing a bucket of popcorn when reading your blog Y.
