More cheering

This is C1 after his second Tri (enticer distance) at Robina this morning.
He really enjoyed the race and said he felt a lot stronger in the run leg than the last one, but if he started at the time they said he was going to, his time wasn't as good. I must remember to be a better mother and time these things properly in future. I remembered to check the time when he finished, but that's not very helpful if I don't know when he started! He thinks that his swim may have been slower because he found it harder to stay on course, but also when he came into transition from the bike leg, someone had put their stuff on top of his, so he wasted a lot of time trying to find his spot.
Anyway he had a great time and is still well and truly addicted.
Now...what else was there?
Oh, that's right! This is supposed to be my running blog. Oops!
Saturday
40 minute run/walk
If I take out the walking bits to warm up and cool down I actually ran quite a bit more than I walked yesterday, so do you think it's OK to call this a run with (longish) walking breaks? Woohoo, if so! That means I can tell myself that I'm "going out for a run" which is so much more motivating than just "going for a walk".
Big thanks to Beaniebum who has inspired (shamed?) me to make a public commitment to the MDC in May. I know it's only a teensy little 4k, but after all my injuries last year I was beginning to doubt whether I'd ever get there. So...time to try again, and this time I'll obey the 10% rule and the 'no running on consecutive days' rule and any other rule anyone cares to throw my way.

Big congrats to C1, And wow, what a fantastic shot, it certainly captures the moment perfectly.
You can definitely call what you did yesterday a run! The MDC is a great event. Hey, maybe we can do a Brissie CR girls coffee thing afterwards to celebrate you achieving your goal :-)
If it looks like a run, smells like a run and sounds like a run - then we have to at least consider you have had an accelerated ambulatory experience ;-)
Woooohoooo goodonya Cirque!
Congrats to C1 on taking a second dip into tris.
And yes, it sounds like a run to me and 4k is not measily :-). We all have to come back at a sensible distance.
TA
4k is a great distance, and you'll have lots of people of all abilities running with you too. :) Remember the no running on consecutive days rule, and have a break when your body tells you too, don't push it it hurts etc, I've done it this way for a while, and it works really good. :)
C1 is going great.
I love the MDC! What a great thing to do to celebrate being a mum!
Now back to that photo...are you sure you are feeding those c's? C1 seems to be very thin!! Maybe he just ran it all off LOL.
Seriously, well done to him. I am terrified of the triathlon and admire anyone with the courage to do one.
Great photo and you should be very proud of him!
And you sounds like you are progressing well which is great. Hope the anaemia is improving - I can relate to the tiredness that you feel with it.
And you're right - Garmin Girl obviously doesn't suffer glute problems and doesn't she like to rub it in!
Anway, this is also to let you know you've been tagged!
Oh, and Evil CJ - she usually wins around here but occasionally Saint CJ does put her foot down!
That's definitely a run in my book - I do it all the time too! Glad C1 is enjoying the tris he's getting into. He'll love it with a new bike out on the course ;)
P.S. you can add don't run with sciossors
or scissors - but I guess both rules apply
