Unscheduled rest day
Today was supposed to be either a bike ride or a swim but neither eventuated.
After a not very good night's sleep, I woke up at 5.30 but I had to leave for work at six. There were electricians scheduled to work in our building at 3 o'clock which meant that I would have no power in my office for a while, so my plan was to be at work by seven and then hopefully sneak off shortly after three with a huge pile of files under my arm, ostensibly to be 'working from home', but actually to go to the gym and catch up on the work on the weekend.
Of course the electricians didn't turn up until four o'clock anyway, but in the interim I had some tests done at lunchtime which turned out to be more invasive than I'd anticipated, so by the time I got home I couldn't really do anything very physical after all.
I did some very gentle yoga though, which was lovely. I pretty much stopped my regular yoga routine a few months ago when I sprained my wrist and I'd forgotten how fantastic it feels and how much I need it.
Note to self: do NOT forget regular yoga! Jen - are you listening?

*hugs* hope you had a fab xmas and nye and all.
I think I'm going to have to take a rest day on sunday to cope with this weeks crazy running antics! I might come down and watch and cheer for the cirquelet though, so if I do, I'll send you a text and we can catch up.

Nothing wrong with rest days! Frankly I think we all should have more of them. I like you style with the files btw.
I agree with Hannah - a drinks night is a must! And soon.
