Monday
40 minute bike ride
Brag alert!
I did something good tonight.
I still feel like crap at the moment and I had a really tough day at work so I was feeling very tired on the way home. I spent most of the hour-long drive home debating the relative merits of getting changed and going out for some exercise, or crashing on the lounge with a chilled glass of white wine and the possible addition of some cheese and crackers.
And the exercise won!
I think my cycling skills are improving marginally but I'm still having a lot of trouble steering. I don't know if there are any shortcuts to this or whether it's just a matter of time but I did find that I was able to pedal a bit faster on the straight bits. And of course when I got home I felt better than I had all day, so it was definitely the right choice.
And then I had the wine!

Wine well deserved!! It must have been the night for cycling- I did a spin class and it was really fun.... then followed by some choc ice cream :-)
Well done!
Sounds suspiciously like a win- win situation to me!
Wooohooo good onya Cirque sounds like a great ride.
Um on the steering front... may I suggest you find a nice long, straight, wide section and do a little experimenting with leaning (as opposed to turning the handle bars) eg to turn left just push a little weight down on the left hand handle bar (seems counter intuitive but trust me) and I find shifting your weight to the back of the bike helps a bit too.
Good on ya! Its great that you can find the motivation to get out there after a big day at work. I really don't how you do it.
The steering will iprove the more you cycle so don't worry but do be careful not to steer into anything!
I bet the wine tasted a whole lot better because you did the cycling first! Way to go!
