Cirque the bike whisperer

Saturday
50 minute bike ride.

Thanks for the tips 2P. I tried what you said and I think I know where I was going wrong now. I was fighting with the bike instead of working with it, so I spent a lot of time this morning trying to get a feel of how the bike likes to move. It didn't stop the bugger throwing me off though, but luckily I'd almost stopped at the time. I'd describe what happened but it's rather embarrassing and probably needs a demo to do it justice.

Friday
35 minute run/walk.
I definitely did more running than walking this time so I don't feel guilty calling it a run.

I'm feeling really good today. The inflammation in my hips and knees has almost gone and my stomach has settled down. I wish I knew what I'm doing right so I could keep doing it.

It is so good to read things are going well for you Cirque. If anyone deserves it, you do. Sounds like the bike thing is coming along nicely too. (If you need some body armour let me know)Progress on two fronts huh? Well done!

Gee cirque - are you STILL having trouble with the steering? Sorry I haven't offered any advice - I just can't think of what to offer you?

Trust me Cirque - anyone who has bike cleats and clipless pedals could mention at least one embarassing situation with falling off a bike in slow motion, and probably still attached to the bike! Goes with the territory!

Glad to hear you are on the mend!
