The Z files

Today was my follow up visit to Z.
It seems that I’ve done more damage to the quad than was first apparent, probably because I didn’t rest this week when I was supposed to.
So….. all exercise has been banned for the immediate future. I tentatively suggested perhaps a little stroll or some gentle yoga but even that was outlawed. The only thing I’m allowed to do apart from my egg-laying exercises is participate in the clinical pilates sessions run at the physio centre, so I’m hoping to start that on Saturday.
I’m determined to be really positive about this, and see it as an opportunity rather than a setback. Obviously my last back rehab program hasn’t been the resounding success we’d hoped for so this is a chance to try a different approach.
Am I still allowed to be a CR while I’m not running????

Hi Cirque,

Sorry to hear about the set back. My PT guy told me this when i got hurt: "obstacles don't have to stop you. if you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it or work around it"

It may be a while for you to get going again but i am sure that there could be plenty you can do in the meantime.
Pilates is a great start. And invest your money with experts that can help you fix your injuries.
I concentrated on my upper body strength, monitoring my water intake and fixing my food when i tore my quad. Kept me occupied and i felt like i was contributing to my health.
