I think I can, I think I can....

4.5k, 1.5min run/1.0 min walk, 38.29 minutes. K's run = 3.0 (approx)

Today brought a welcome change of mind set.
I've decided to stop stressing about the length of time I can run "continuously" and celebrate the length of time I'm running in each session instead.

Today also brought home to me the importance of obeying my body. While today was hard work, there was a profound difference between the tiredness and soreness of my lazy mucles being forced to work outside their comfort zone, and the unnatural pain and fatigue of the other day, caused by physiological malfunction. From now on I will accept my physical limitations and stop comparing myself with others.

You set up your blog about the same time I did - great minds eh ?

I also focus too much on running "continuously". It's nice to see that someone else has the same goal as me - to focus instead on the total time spent out there on the road.

Congratulations on your achievements so far and I'm really looking forward to reading about your achievements in the future !

Cirque, sounds like an epiphany to me! I must make a point to read this comment whenever I lose motivation!
