Couch to Warwick - Week 5

Firstly - huge thanks to Hannah for my lovely new banner.
For various reasons it was time for a change and she has read my mind perfectly to design something beautiful and very meaningful.
Thanks so much H - you're a treasure!!

Secondly - more toddler steps. I'm so excited I'm posting a midweek broadcast!

Wednesday 3.5k run/1.5k walk.

3.5k! I'm absolutely ecstatic!

It's still a slow shuffle and will be for some time, but it's so rewarding to be able to get just that tiny bit further or stop just a few times less during each run. For the last year and a half, every time I've got to this stage something has gone badly wrong and I've been back to square one, but I'm not going to let that happen this time. The best bit is that at the moment I'm able to manage the pain with just a small amount of paracetomol a few times a week - fantastic progress. If I can just keep this going for the next couple of months I should start to see really measureable improvements.

And for those who are following C1's progress - he went out for his first post-marathon training run tonight. 5k in 20:54, so it looks like he's recovering well. Can you guys please try to convince him it's time to start his own blog?

Good run Cirque. Hannah is clever - that one is very cool.

Excellent!!!! Look out Warwick!

C1's blog would make fantastic reading, especially considering the things he's about to experience such as his first Warwick. But hey, you're his mother. Just tell him to do it!

Glad you like the banner :) And yes, the Cirquelet should be blogging... I'll even make him a banner if he so desires *grins* We might have to name him speedy though, doing 5km in that sort of time after a marathon - it's just rude! LOL!

Keep on trucking with your running - warwick is just on the horizon!

i love the new banner...and fanastic news about your "steps" progression...

C1 - that's a cracking pace for 5k, particularly on the back of a marathon, i wish i could do that (the time for a 5k not a marathon)!
