"If you can't say something nice......

.....don't say anything at all"

Or so I believe the saying goes.

I'm sorry I haven't blogged, guys. I haven't been sulking (honest) but it's been a really tough couple of weeks and I promised myself I wouldn't let my negative blogs outweight the positive ones.

In summary, my back has been very, very painful. I was supposed to be resting but that was impossible with my current case load so I managed to finish the school year and now I'm on a glorious four week break and can finally do what's required to ease the pain. Four days of rest, ice, no driving, etc and I'm starting to feel almost human again. I've done hardly any exercise because walking, or even taking a deep breath hurt too much but I'm hoping there will be some promising reports soon.

My only brush with anything sports related has been cheering C1 through his first tri (enticer). He did better than he expected and is now officially addicted:

Cirque, I find sometimes it's good to sulk in small doses - but it's best to make them very small.

My favourite technique - put on a really angry CD ("Never Mind the Bollocks" by the Sex Pistols works for me) and get into it. Generally by halfway through I start laughing about how pathetic I'm being and start working on getting myself together.

Anyway, enough about me - back to you. Hope your back continues to improve and we see a bunch of your trademark positive posts real soon.

I empathise with you so completely, Cirque!

I'm chipper enough (as you can be without any serious exercise in nearly 6 weeks), but my face is sooo painful . . . we are a couple of crocs!

Please enjoy and revel in your Christmas break - and give some time to you. I'll certainly be thinking of you.

P.S. The #1 cirquette looks like a fine young specimen . . . you've done well!
