Am I bad?
Please don't answer that. I know the answer is a resounding - YES!
My schedule was supposed to include rowing and cycling at the gym on Friday afternoon, and another attempted run on Saturday, but on Friday I woke up with sciatica that gradually became worse during the day, until walking was quite painful by late afternoon. When I woke up on Saturday the pain was worse, and I knew that trying to run with it would be really stupid.
However, (as luck would have it) I had planned to spend the weekend with CirqueSister and Mr CirqueSister on the Gold Coast to catch up on everything we've missed while our heads have been buried in textbooks this year. So, instead of doing the sensible thing and replacing the planned run with alternative exercise at the gym, I just basically...ummmm.....vegged...and drank champagne....and shopped....and...vegged .....and shopped.....and drank more champagne.
Plus the C's and my nephew came down on Saturday and we spent time with them as well.
It was a really, really lovely weekend, but very low on the disciplined exercise scale :( So...all I can report for the last few days (apart from some heavy duty mall walking, and a really cool Giordano pants shopping story that I will share with the usual suspects during the week)is:
Thursday
20 minute walk and 45 minute walk.
This was supposed to be a gym day but I'd forgotten that after work I was supposed to pick C2 up from Volleyball training. The logistics of trying to combine a job at Ipswich, a gym at Carindale and a school at East Brisbane were beyond me. Instead I went for a couple of brisk walks at morning tea and lunchtime.
So that's all. Yep - I really am BAD!

The resounding answer is no! You have a life :-)
Glad to hear that you enjoyed your weekend,
LJxx
PS Thanks ;-)
Never underestimate the training effect that mall shopping has - and as for champagne - all those littlebubbles effervesce the system burning calories all the while :-)
It's good to chill occasionally ;-)
Drinking champers, shopping etc - bad??? Sounds bloody good to me!
I reckon its a great sign when you get the guilts over missing a session or two as it shows the level of your committment to keeping fit :-)
What a GREAT weekend - wish I had done that instead. Haven't been shopping for months. Really glad to hear you had such a fantastic time Y.
Hey, I never picked up on C playing volleyball! This was in fact my best sport in school/uni, but the competition here isn't too strong at the moment. Wonder if I can pass on any tips?
When injured one must partake in "active rest". Shopping is excellent cross-training. Want to hear all about the shopping and the cool pants....
Cirque if that's bad, I love it!!! Every now and then we have to do things like that - very rejuvenating!!!
