I love yoga
What a day!
Everyone goes into crisis mode just before the school holidays so today was a typical 10 hour stress fest with a 50 minute drive on either side of it. Well, not exactly non-stop. I did escape for a much needed (but forbidden) 20 minute walk at lunch time.
When I got home I did a brief but wonderful yoga session that got rid of a great deal of the tension. I don't think there are any words to describe that feeling of relaxing and stretching muscles that have been locked in a stress cramp for 12 hours straight. Well, there probably are but they'd attract all sorts of unwelcome spammers. A gin and soda afterwards went a long way to eliminating the rest.
I have a study day tomorrow so I'll have time to go to the gym. I can't decide what to do there, but thanks to the lovely posts from you guys last night I now have heaps of motivation again, so my choices are:
1) something creative on the bike and rower (thanks Jen, Wobbly & Allrounder)
2) something that involves the elliptical trainer (thanks Go Girl). The real reason I don't use it is just that it's SO hard! I know - that's lazy Cirque talking but I should give it a go.
3) swimming (aka secret Ironman training - thanks MR, the thought of the Whitsundays is very motivating)
4) weights (which I've ignored for a while).
Watch this space!

I love yoga too Cirque - you can't beat that feeling of stretching, holding and letting go. I always feel energised after a class even though I do find the poses a challenge.
So have you booked my flight up to the Whitsundays for your personal swim instruction?
