Back again!

3k. 1-1-8-3-3. 16 minutes running. 2 min walking breaks.

I managed the above with no after effects as far as I can tell, except feeling more determined than ever.
I have a bit of residual muscle spasm but I tried to make sure my posture was OK and I don't think I've made it any worse.

I might try WM's and LL's advice tomorrow and try some water running. And I must make more effort with the yoga and the pilates. Sounds like I have a busy time ahead!

That's great news Cirque.

Re the water running, when I was doing it I found it so boring on my own. Saturdays were great as other 'injurees' used to join me and that made it a bit of fun. Might be worth posting something on CR and see if you get any takers.

That sounds a lot better than some earlier posts, Cirque; good for you & keep going!
As for the deep water running...I don't find it boring at all, but I do have something planned to do each time I go.. e.g. INTERVALS 10mins. warm up; then intervals 1min fast, 1min slow, 2mins fast, 1min slow, 3mins fast, 1min slow, 4mins fast, 1min slow; then do that in reverse & a 10 min cool down; an hour slips past very quickly that way & leaves me feeling I've worked fairly hard. I also do some ski-like striding, knee highs, stretching with water as the resistant; there's lots to do really,

Have a look at "Pete Pfitzinger's Deep Water Running 9 Week Programme" for ideas.
