Sad news
This is meant to be a running blog but I needed to post this somewhere today so here it is.
The Cirqlets and I received some devastating news last night.
On Monday the C's Head of House at school was killed in a car accident.
At the boys' school, their House is very much like their second home and (in the C's House at least) this lady (Ann) probably spent more time parenting our boys than we did. She had a wonderful home room set up for 'her boys' with a TV, microwave, toaster, bean bags etc, and she was always there from about 7.00 am so if they had before-school training they could go there afterwards to have breakfast and watch TV until school started, and at lunchtime they always had somewhere to go and relax.
Ann was C1's mentor when we moved to Brisbane just as he was beginning Year 11, and she has been C2's pastoral carer since Year 8 and his english teacher this year.
I can't imagine what their House could possily be like without her at the helm..........

I'm glad that you did post it here, life (and death) are not removed from running in some sort of numerical formulae.
Very sad news for the family. I hope that you are able to all pull together.
I'm thinking of you and the Cirqlets. J
So very sorry to hear this sad news, Cirque; a great loss to all who have had such close contact with her....thinking of you all. LL
